When we receive destructive criticism, are wrongly judged or misunderstood, our first reaction is to orally correct the statement made against us. We want to let the person know they are wrong, find out where they got such an idea about us from and why they said what they said. We go all out to defend ourselves but we end up losing out. Justifying myself, my actions and my faith has never got me the outcome I wanted. On the contrary it made me look bad as I stooped to their level.
I recently learned through a situation that some people are so immature and narrow minded that whatever you say, they will not understand and will disregard whatever point you try to make. They have one mind-set and are not willing to change what they think!

So what do we do? Ignore them. Let people say and think whatever they want about us. We know ourselves and who we truly are and that’s what matters. Whether we do well or not someone will always criticize us.
The best one to justify us is God. But if we keep trying to justify ourselves, how can God do it for us?

Let God be open to speak for us from now on for people may resist our words but who can resist the words and works of God? When He honours us before others, boy, it’s a true honour that will shut the mouths of everyone and those who will quick to judge will end up swallowing their own tongues.
