Last night i watched The last King of Scotland on DVD with my friend Fatima. It was not what i expected at all. I thought it would be quite boring but tt was very interesting and some scenes had me at the edge of the sofa I was sat on lol. Another part of me was angry to know people suffered so much at the hands of an evil man who at the beginning appeared to be so nice.

However, I want to share with you a line that was spoken  during the film that caught my intention. "Here in Africa we meet violence with violence. Anything other than that, you are dead". I am not a violent person nor do I agree with violence. However when it comes to my enemy the devil I have no other choice but to be violent towards him. I have suffered a lot and wasted too much time because of naivity, ignorance and being soft and peaceful. Such an attitude has not gotten me any where and will not get me any where in this daily fight to keep my salvation and enter the promise land.

Now I have this mindset; as my enemy is violent towards me I will be even more violent towards him. I understand now why the Bible says "And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force". - Matthew 11: 12. Negotiation and sweet talk will not get me to where I want to be. A persistent and fighting spirit will.
