Following Saziso's idea of writing a daily 'report' of how we are finding the sisterhood rules and tasks I’ve decided to do one. Yesterday we were introduced to the sisterhood here in Nottingham and i was very excited...until I read the don’ts. For me some of them were a bit extreme especially because I only wear jeans and sweat pants. I don’t wear makeup and I don’t cook (yes, i am always seen eating some sort of fast food or sandwich). But because I really want to change and become a true woman of God I accepted the rules and decided to take action straight away.

This morning I woke up early and went to the shop to buy eggs, sausages and other things to make breakfast at home with. I rarely eat at home and I saw this as a opportunity to show God that I am serious about this. For some making breakfast may be nothing but for me it is something because how can I cook lunch or dinner for others (which I will have to do during the rush week) if I can’t even simply prepare the first meal of the day for myself. It took up a lot of my time( and I made mistakes) but I felt good after because not only did I save money and ate something much healthier than a McDonalds breakfast but I have a bit of confidence in preparing meals for myself.

Its only the first day and I know there is much more to come but I am willing to learn and looking forward to the changes. I’m challenging myself to only eat home cooked meals this week. I’ll let you know how it goes.
