The start of rush month

I was very anxious to see if I passed the interview and made it to the second stage: Rush month. Hotmail was not allowing me log in and 3 hours and more than 10 attempts later i finally read the email that said I had made it through to the second stage.

I wasted no time and started on the first task which was to prepare lunch or dinner and set the table for the family today. I had already planned the day I was going to do this and what I was going to make last week. I planned it for today (my birthday) and saw this as the perfect opporunity to do something for and with my family. I live alone so I don't see them or do anything with them much so this was the perfect opportunity.

As I had to take care of a few things this morning and during the day, my endeavour did not start until 5.45pm. I cooked pasta and salmon, my favourite but this time spiced up and I was finished by 7pm. As things did not go according to plan with my family I invited my friend over and she seemed to like it. It was great to see someone else enjoy and compliment my food and although it was pretty basic as too was the table setting, the more I do this, the better I wil become.

Also, I am beginning to see that the sisterhood will defintely be challenge and alot of sacririces will be required but I am up for the challenge and this is my opporunity to change, excel, grow and suprise myself.

As a birthday gift I recieved two cooks books from a dear friend and I will surely be putting them to good use.
