Day four

One thing I remember clearly about this day is being taught the importance of being independent in my faith and knowing God personally. We should never forget what God has planted inside of us and the experiences we have had with Him. I have come to learn how important these things are, especially when a situation arises to cast doubt on who you are and your existence in the Kingdom of God. When you know what God has done inside of you, you do not care whether people believe in you or not. Many times before, I depended on the faith of a loved one, a friend or even a person in authority and when I was alone to face a battle I became confused and frustrated because my “faith” was ineffective. In fact I could not even define my own faith because I had been living under the shadow of someone else’s and that is why I was barren, not bearing fruit.

Jesus regularly distanced Himself from others and went to Mount Olive to have moments alone with God the Father. For us to know God personally, and receive His guidance, we must do the same. Our time with God is precious and shouldn’t be rushed or despised. We have time to talk to people all day over the phone, on Facebook, Skype and twitter so why not spare God a few moments of your day. If Jesus Himself needed time alone with God, how much more us?

Whenever I am unclear about something, feel heavy burdened or want to vent something out, I go to God first. This has helped me become independent in my faith and know the voice of God clearly, as before I suffered with so many doubts, I did not know which thoughts were from God, which ones were from the devil and which ones were my own thoughts. Investing in my relationship with God is the reason why I am here, writing to you today and for as long as I keep investing in my relationship with God, I will keep growing and have much more to share.

God bless you all

  1. So true. We must know the way directly from God, depending on other people will only lead our faith to the wrong path. Every day that we post about all I can think about is :what a day! or days...
Let's keep it alive...I hope your girls there are following your blog as well to get the same spirit that was given to us for us to spread.
