Bombarded by doubts, looking to the life of others, comparing yourself to those you admire and so forth can blind you from seeing who you really are. When we start to look at other people, instead of paying close attention to what we do, we start to be insecure concerning our own spiritually. “Oh, am not as audacious as her. God does not reveal such things to me the way He does with her. Oh, how I wish I was as “spiritual” as her”. We then start to think, because we are not like the ones we admire so much, we are not of God. Though the way we live our life daily shows that we are, because our eyes are no longer fixed on God or on ourselves, we start to doubt.

And then, they are many people who proclaim with their lips that they are from God, that they are Christian etc. but what they do in secret, how they act or react towards certain things says something else. We know who we are by the way we live our life. The things we do when no one is looking, the thoughts we entertain in our minds and the relationship we have with God. The voice deep within us tells us who we truly are. We don't need people to tell us who we are, because we already know! Some are even fooled to think because someone said they are of God, that means they are, but deep inside they know that is not so! They live a double life thinking that they can cover up who they really are by doing "good" works, not knowing all things are brought to surface, sooner or later.

So let us not be decieved or try to decieve ourselves. Let us not give ears to those thoughts that are trying to convince us we are something that we are not! You know who you are. Deep within you, you know!

"He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him".1 John 2:4-5

  1. So true...those who are truly from God don't even have to say anything, their being speaks louder. Sorry for my blog being in portuguese for the past few posts, the girls in Brazil asked me to share my travel experiences and I have not had much time so I just posted in portuguese with the pics.
Stopping by to drop some love and to say that I am thinking of you! And I can still hear you talk and I miss your cute british accent! :)
