Today, I volunteered myself to cut my mother's grass. I did not think it was that bad until I got there. It looked like a forest! I thought "oh my goodness. How could the grass have been let to grow so much". I felt embarrassed for the garden because all the other gardens were "well groomed" and this one was like a wild beast. I even had an auidence. The neighbours were watching me and smurking!

As I started mowing the lawn, I started thinking how important it is to keep on top of things. When we keep putting things off for "tomorrow" or waiting for someone else to do it for us, we start to become complacent and before we know it, we have lost control of things and a snow ball is created. I confess I am reaping the results of putting things off in the past and being complacent.  It is hard having to sort out everything so you can get yourself out of the mess you have created due to negligence, but it must be done before it gets even worse.

Just like the garden took a lot of my time and energy done (and it's still not even finished) so does re-organizing yourself and getting back on track. However, once its done, there is a sigh of relief and  things can start to run smoothly again and you are guaranteed to have learned a good lesson!

As I said, the garden is not finished yet. Though I mowed the lawn, I still have the weeds to uproot and edge to cut. It was getting dark so I had to stop. The hard work resumes tomorrow!!!
