During a conversation with a dear friend the other week the phrase "our works must exceed the works of the unbelievers" popped up. I began meditating on this, going through the Scriptures to find the relevant verse, analyzing myself and others.

In the past couple of weeks, I have come across the most kindest and warmest bus drivers, friendly and chatting neighbours, hardworking and audacious professionals and charitable and selfless elders of the community. These people were genuinely nice and considerate people whose smiles even made my day. The only thing I could see missing in their life was God (who is the most important). Then there are us (well some, not all) suspicous, straight faced and sometimes unapproachable Christians. Who spends their times thinking about their lives and their problems and not a second thought about others. Can't even crack a smile at the bus driver and thank him for safely dropping them off at their destination. Stingy with our money, turning up late for work and not even apologizing but already packing away 15 minutes before the end of the shift. Just doing is required of us to do and not going the extra mile, you know that mile that might just prompt the boss to give you a promotion or pay rise.

I became revolted, realising that at times there appears to be no difference between Christians and non Chrisitians. I started to see a change was needed in me and in many

Friends, we have to be a reference of God in this world. Maybe the reason why that family memebr, work colleague, friend or neighbour has not yet come to God is because of us. They see no difference in us, our behvaiour, character and life. We really must start to make a difference in this world and it starts within us. I am not talking out of hypocrisy, I am talking from experience. The coin finally dropped and I acted upon what God spoke to me. As a result my life is becoming fruitful and friends and work colleagues are becoming interested in the God I serve because of my testimonies, spiritual and physical.

Matthew 5: 20 " For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven".
