Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God” 1 John 4:1

When it comes to people and situations I am very cautious. Experience has taught me not to jump at some "opportunities" head on without weighing things out. The same goes with people. Something and someone can look so sweet but taste so bitter. Oh, how I have been deceived by the wrapping so many times. I may be everyone’s friend, but not everyone is my friend. Meaning, I can get along with almost anyone being approachable and friendly but I won't have close relations or confide in just anyone. My close friends are those who have the same mind-set as me, those who are reliable and have earned my trust. And it’s with the words that come out of their mouth that I can see them for who they really are. Sometimes people don’t realize what comes out of the mouth is a reflection of what's in their heart. And if all that comes out of their mouth is gossip, profanity, dirty talk and complaining then they have a dirty heart and unless it’s cleansed, it will become more corrupt by the day. Without noticing we too will be contaminated. We must watch closely who we are close friends with especially if you are of God or striving to be of God,

They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error”, 1 John 4:5
